Deadheading isn't necessary for the explosion of color you'll receive from Spring until frost on this deciduous shrub. Hummingbirds can't resist the trumpet shaped red blooms on foliage that stand 4-5' tall. Generally, disease resistant and perfect for borders and foundation planting. Plant 4-5' apart. PP#25132
