Native throughout the United States, pollinator-friendly blue vervain grows in moist meadows, riverbanks and roadside ditches. Notable candelabra-like bluish-purple flower spikes appear on 4-6' stems in mid to late summer. At home in the moist meadow or wildflower garden with Eupatorium, Lobelia and Panicum. Deadheading will control reseeding. Plant 24" apart.
