North American native wild bergamot is a must for the meadow or naturalized area. In mid-summer the showy lavender-pink flowers will draw hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. 2-4’ tall foliage has aromatic leaves that can be used in teas and are also deer resistant. Tolerates dryish soil but prefers moist well-drained soil.
