Coastal doghobble (Leucothoe axillaris)

This native evergreen shrub is well suited to moist, shaded areas with protection from winter winds. Grows 2-4' tall with dark leathery green leaves.  Fragrant white bell-shaped flowers appear in spring and attract bees and butterflies.
