Hakonechloa macra (Japanese Forest Grass)

This slow-spreading perennial grass forms loose cascading mounds that provide wonderful textural contrasts with other shade-loving plants. It has green leaves which have a bamboo look about them and grows 24" in height. The foliage arches over, with the leaves tending to flow in the same direction, which reminds you of a cascading waterfall.
