Gaura lindheimeri ‘Whirling Butterflies’ (White Indian Feather)

Crisp white, butterfly-like flowers on red stems create a delicate 2–3' tall display that lasts for weeks. The airy sprays of blooms provide a long season of color from early summer into fall. Lance-shaped green foliage forms a tidy clump, spreading 12–15" wide, and is highly drought tolerant. A true North American wildflower, this variety thrives in sandy, loamy, well-drained soils and prefers full sun, though it can handle partial shade. Deer and rabbits avoid it, while pollinators are irresistibly drawn to its charm. Unlike some forms, this selection does not self-seed, making it a low-maintenance garden favorite.
