Blue Lyme Grass (Elymus arenarius 'Blue Dune')

Bright blue-gray blades grow 24-30" and produce stiff, upright, flower spikes that turn buff in late summer. Spreads vigorously by rhizomes, filling in large areas quickly and may require containment. Useful for planting in areas affected by wind, salt air and sandy soils along the mid-Atlantic coast. Tolerant of seasonal clean up by mowing at winter's end.
