Red twig dogwood is celebrated for its bright red stems in winter that are stunning against a backdrop of white paper birch or a snow-covered landscape. White flat-topped flower clusters in spring lead to blue-tinged whitish fruits in summer that supply food for birds. This cultivar grows 6-8' tall with a rounded habit that does not sucker like the straight species. Prefers moist soil and can tolerate wet areas. Plant 8' apart.
