Aralia cordata 'Sun King' (Japanese Spikenard)

I ordered two of these plants. One looked very happy and healthy, but the other plant was wilted and a lot of the leaves were brown. They were well packaged. I’ve planted them in pots for now. Yesterday I cut all the leaves off the one plant because now they all have wilted and turned brown. They seem very delicate.

The plants arrived quickly and packaged carefully; in top health and ready for planting. They are a showy, slow-growing feature in my shade garden, which mostly consists of ferns and periwinkle transplanted from around the property. We have also had lots of rain, so i haven't had to tend to them. Because they are slow-growing, not much new growth yet. Ask me again in the fall.
