Lovely in spring with intricate petite flowers that dangle on 2-3' tall stalks above the delicate foliage. Flowers have red spurs and sepals with yellow tipped petals and are visited by hummingbirds and butterflies in April. A bit on the wild side as it readily self-seeds in organic, rich soil. Mingles well with Tiarella, Phlox stolonifera, and Geranium maculatum. Plant 18" apart.
