Wood's sedge has a similar appearance to C. pensylvanica, with a denser habit that serves to suppress weeds more effectively. Fine-textured 6-12" tall and wide foliage slowly spreads by rhizomes in the moist, well-drained, woodland or light shade garden. Seed heads appear in April-May. Plant 12" apart.
