Classic red flowers with yellow corollas bloom in May and June. This North American native is short and sweet at 10". A wild Columbine that makes an excellent shade garden naturalizer. 'Little Lanterns' prefers well-drained average to rich soil and can as easily star in containers or rock gardens. Try it with Phlox 'Blue Moon'. Plant 18" apart.
