Perhaps the hardiest species of Liriope, spicata has pale lavender flower spikes in July-August close to the 12" grassy green foliage. Spicata quickly forms a thick mat of evergreen foliage and is known to withstand colder temperatures than other Liriopes although its flowers are just a bit smaller and not as showy. A mowing or trim in early spring will encourage growth. Plant 18" apart.
Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun to Partial Shade
USDA Hardiness Zones: 5-10

We carefully schedule shipments to ensure your plants spend as little time in transit as possible. Most orders ship via UPS Monday through Wednesday, directly from our greenhouses. For nearby destinations, we may occasionally ship Thursday or Friday when delivery is expected before the weekend. Orders that would otherwise remain in transit over the weekend will be held until the following shipping week.
Each plant is carefully wrapped in protective brown paper and packed with excelsior wood wool, a biodegradable material made from thin fibers of aspen wood. This eco-friendly packaging helps keep your plants secure during transit while being kind to the environment.
