The big leaves on this unique specimen plant are shaped like those of the horse chestnut tree and are dark green with some bronzy overtones. Perfect for the dappled shade of high trees, Rodgersia performs best in moist, rich, cool soil. The airy panicles of creamy white flower clusters can be 1-2' in length during July and August. Figure the mature plant height at 3-6' with about a 5' width, so give it room to look its best.

We carefully schedule shipments to ensure your plants spend as little time in transit as possible. Most orders ship via UPS Monday through Wednesday, directly from our greenhouses. For nearby destinations, we may occasionally ship Thursday or Friday when delivery is expected before the weekend. Orders that would otherwise remain in transit over the weekend will be held until the following shipping week.

Each plant is carefully wrapped in protective brown paper and packed with excelsior wood wool, a biodegradable material made from thin fibers of aspen wood. This eco-friendly packaging helps keep your plants secure during transit while being kind to the environment.
