Mead's Sedge will meander and mingle with taller meadow and prairie companions, using its widely spreading deep rhizomes. The blue-green foliage begins to grow in the cooler months of spring and will continue to thrive in the shade of taller plants. Native to the eastern U.S. and into the Midwest, it is adaptable to moist or dry conditions. The upright leaves grow 10-24" tall and golden inflorescences appear in late spring. Plant 24" apart.
Sunlight Requirements: Full Sun to Partial Shade
USDA Hardiness Zones: 3-8

We carefully schedule shipments to ensure your plants spend as little time in transit as possible. Most orders ship via UPS Monday through Wednesday, directly from our greenhouses. For nearby destinations, we may occasionally ship Thursday or Friday when delivery is expected before the weekend. Orders that would otherwise remain in transit over the weekend will be held until the following shipping week.
Each plant is carefully wrapped in protective brown paper and packed with excelsior wood wool, a biodegradable material made from thin fibers of aspen wood. This eco-friendly packaging helps keep your plants secure during transit while being kind to the environment.
