Unbelievably sweet fragrance wafts from the almost unnoticed white flowers in late winter to early spring. This compact variety is shorter than the species at 18" tall, and has longer and narrower leaves. Sweetbox is a member of the boxwood family and has similar dense evergreen foliage and glossy green leaves. Makes an excellent groundcover for moist shade and prefers organically rich soil. Although slow to establish, it's worth the wait. 19942
