This Southeastern U.S. native is long blooming from July to October, with petite azure blue flowers that compliment so many yellow blooming perennials in late summer-fall. With a tendency to lodge, plant either in a naturalized setting with tall supporting companions such as Andropogon, Schizachryium, Helianthus and Rudbeckia, or trim back early summer to reduce height and potential floppiness. Grows 3-5' tall. Plant 24" apart.
