New heart-shaped leaves in spring have bronze-red mottling over green and turn to dark green in summer. Clusters of bright yellow flowers in mid spring sit just above the foliage on very thin upright stems. This 8-12" tall spreading ground cover is semi-evergreen and prefers a little more moisture than other species. Trim back in late winter before new growth emerges and flowering begins.
