The blue of this choice native variety is the strongest light blue imaginable with just a hint of lavender. It has the same fringed Aster-like flower as the white variety, growing to a height of 12" or so. Starting in June, it blooms away into September, and can provide you with up to 14 weeks of showy color in the border or as a cut flower. Blooms often close in the evening and reopen in the morning. It is tolerant of heat, drought, and different kinds of soil, as long as it is well-drained, especially in winter.
