Not all fall color must come from pansies and maple leaves. What comes to mind when my neighbor asks for fall flowers and then tosses on, “But they must be native.” “Easy” I reply, try Ironweed. Plants come in tall and short and the purple flowers arrive in late fall, bringing with them a multitude of butterflies.
