Towards summer’s end, bright yellow flowers with dark brown cones begin to appear on upright and vigorous foliage, lasting well into fall to the delight of pollinators. Native to swampy areas of the Southeastern United States, it prefers moist soil and tolerates extended periods of wet conditions. Disease resistant foliage grows 3-4' tall and is perfect for a wet meadow.
